Collections Live: The Amazing, Awesome Arthropoda
Have you ever wondered what goes on behind the scenes at a museum? Museums take care of ‘collections’ – but what does that mean? Collections LIVE is a new initiative to turn the museum ‘inside-out’! Previously backstage activities will be taking place in public spaces – check out what goes into cataloging a collection, meet some of the staff and volunteers who’ve chosen this work as a career, bring your questions and we’ll work together to find the answers.
Collections Live: The Amazing, Awesome Arthropoda is every Tuesday from 10am to 1pm on the Museum’s fourth floor (stair access only). Arthropods constitute roughly 75% of all animal life on earth! Catch an exclusive, behind-the-scenes glimpse into the Museum’s Invertebrate Zoology Collection, and bug out with museum professionals who are preserving the amazingly awesome diversity found in the Arthropoda.
No pre-registration required, activity is ongoing.
Cost: Included with Museum admission, and free for members.
