Science After Hours: Reality Bytes (Ages 21+)

Get ready for an adults-only night featuring the Reinventing Reality exhibit and access to all four floors of the Museum! Grab a beverage from the cash bar before learning about the science behind virtual reality with our community partners and checking out the exhibit in an adults-only atmosphere.

Reinventing Reality features 15 interactive displays, careers and creators modules, and 12 VR experience pods where you can step into the vastly different virtual worlds with VR games and experiences including Angry Birds VR, Synth Riders, the Blue VR, and Artist VR.

Throughout the night, you can make your way through the Museum to engage with our event partners. On our first floor, VR Buffalo will provide head sets to sweep you into immersive virtual worlds. The C-SPAN Lab (Cognitive Neuroscience Society) will explore the McGurk Effect and how your senses compete with one another to interpret virtual worlds. And, the Challenger Learning Center invites you to the Museum’s Buffalo In Space science studio to build your own Mars Bas through Augmented Reality (AR) with your cell phone.
