Buffalo, NY – The Buffalo Museum of Science (BMS) today announced it’s getting ready to “flip out” over science during the mid-winter February school break with special science-based acrobatic shows. Performers from the Orlando-based WeFlip Entertainment will provide high-flying science fun with multiple 30-minute Acrobatic Science Live! shows each day from Sunday, February 16th to Saturday, February 22nd. Shows are sponsored by Turner Construction with support from Hotel Sponsor The Lenox Hotel and Suites.
Acrobatic Science Live! is an exhilarating show that combines high-flying acrobatics with the mind-bending principles of physics. Museum visitors will watch in awe as the duo from WeFlip flips through the air and put science to the ultimate test to illustrate Newton’s Second Law of Motion. WeFlip Entertainment has entertained curious minds of all ages at theme parks and special events throughout the country, including Disney resorts and SeaWorld.
Coinciding with the Acrobatic Science engagement, the Museum will participate in National Engineers Week with a daily slate of different community partners and local universities from February 16th through the 22nd to introduce young guests to engineering concepts and careers. National Engineers Week activities are sponsored by Linde with additional support from LaBella Associates and National Fuel.
“The robust lineup of Acrobatic Science performances and National Engineers Week activities will bring our visitor experience to new heights during the break week. Combined with our new 12 Months of Science demonstrations provided by our talented staff, there will be something new and different to discover each day of break week,” says BMS president and CEO, Gary Siddall. “We thank our sponsors at Turner Construction, Linde, LaBella Associates, and National Fuel for their generous support in bringing these unique experiences to our guests.”
From Sunday to Saturday, National Engineer Week activities will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and four Acrobatic Science shows are scheduled each day at 10:30 and 11:30 a.m., and 1 and 2 p.m.
Shows and activities are included in the Museum’s February Break admission rates: $24 for adults, $22 for children 2-17, students, seniors, and military, and free for museum members. Visitors are encouraged to reserve admission online in advance to secure their desired show time. Preferred times are not guaranteed for walk-up purchases.
